Samburu National Reserve

Samburu is a rugged and semi-desert park located in the Rift Valley Province. It is famous for hosting the “Northern Specialist” species not found in other parks, including the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx. The reserve is also popular for its large elephant population and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. It neighbors the homes of the nomadic Samburu tribe, adding a rich cultural element to the safari.
